MEET RHONDA
Why Rhonda Redden?
Rhonda is a seasoned professional in county and city government serving over 28 of her 31 years as a civilian in law enforcement. She spent her last 10 years of service as the Crime Technician for Hutto Police Department before retiring in 2019. She covered a wide range of responsibilities including death scene investigation, crime scene investigation, evidence collection and processing, and evidence management. You will also find her name at the City of College Station, Brazos County Sheriff’s Department, and Bryan Police Department where she spent the first years in her career in a variety of positions including jail officer, sentencing coordinator for jail inmates, code enforcement, and utility administration. This combined experience has taken her through several years of court hearings on a diverse range of subjects across all levels from justice and municipal court to felony district court.
In addition to her dedicated service, Rhonda also pursued a bachelor’s degree from Texas State University and received her B.A.A.S. in Occupational, Leadership and Workforce Studies and received certification as a Certified Public Manager in 2018. Not stopping there, Rhonda completed her master’s degree in Legal Studies in 2020 at Texas State University where she was accepted into the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society with a 4.0 GPA.
Who she is:
Born and raised in Central Texas, Rhonda and her husband, Greg, have lived in Taylor since 2014. Here they have built a strong connection to the community as active members of multiple volunteer and community organizations. Together they own and operate a small but thriving boat and RV storage facility which they built from the ground up and opened in 2019. Prior to coming to Taylor, they lived in southeast Round Rock for over ten years.
In their spare time, you will find Rhonda and Greg enjoying the outdoors hunting and fishing, hosting family gatherings with their four daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren, and inviting their friends and neighbors to their home for large entertainment events. When springtime comes around, you just might see them in the stands during the horse racing season as avid fans of the Triple Crown.
